Thanks for being interested in how to join Jones Road Baptist Church.  Joining our church means more than just having your name on our role.  When an individual or family joins our church we hope it is because they plan to be involved in the life of the church, get connected to a Bible study class and use their gifts to serve God in ministry.

There are three ways to join our church.

First, is by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and being baptised by immersion by one of our pastors.

Second, is by what we call transferring your membership letter.  This means that you were a member of another Southern Baptist Church somewhere and now you are desiring to join our church.  We would contact your former church and let them know that you want to be part of our church and they would release you from their membership and your "letter of membership" would be transferred to Jones Road Baptist Church.

Third, is what we call "Statement of Faith."  This means that you are a follower of Christ and are a member or faithfull attender of another church that is NOT Southern Baptist but they have the same doctrinal and theological beliefs as Jones Road Baptist Church.  You would declare "by statement" (just on paper, not in front of people or the church...) that you have the same beliefs about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible.  Also, you must have been baptised by immersion in a church with the same beliefs.  Then you would be a member of our church.
