At JRBC we believe that God desires to be intimately involved in the everyday life of students. We also believe that God desires to use students to make an impact in the lives of their friends.
We whole heartedly believe that as a ministry, we do not exist simply to have fun and play cool music. We believe that God has a purpose for our students and therefore we intentionaly teach our students that we exist for a reason.
The Student Ministry at Jones Road Baptist Church exists to lead middle school and high school students who are being CHANGED by God, CONNECTED with others and IMPACTING their friends.
CHANGE: We teach and lead students to understand that God desires to change them. The first change they must make is to be changed on the inside. They must first make a committment to live for and journey with Christ because they understand and believe that Christ lived and died so that they may have an intimate, real and passionate life with Christ.
Once they have made that committment and choose to live for Christ, then God desires to continually change them and make them more like Christ. If a student has truly become a follower of Christ then they will be continually changed by God as they spend alone time with God.
CONNECT: The Student ministry is not only a place for students to grow in their journey with God, but it is also a place where students can connect with other students. When we say connect we do not just mean hanging out. Connecting means we are getting to know other students and building meaningful, lasting relationships in order to encourage each other as we are being changed. There are many opportunites for studenst to connect with each other. We meet every Wednesay evening at 6:45 p.m. for a time of student worship. We also have small groups that meet on Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. for our students. There are also many fun activties we do together as well as ministry times we serve together. We certainly get together and have fun at various events, but the fun events we do are intended for students to bring their friends and get to know other students who are living for God.
IMPACT: As we walk along side our students in their journey with God, we desire to teach them and encourage them to live their life for God so that their life may impact their friends. The goal is for our students to live for God in such a way that their friends can see that God is real and plays a powerful role in their life.
If you are a student in sixth grade though twelfth grade come join us on Sundays and Wednesdays. We would love to have you.
