About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible has no contradictions or errors.
About God the Father
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the creator of the heavens and the earth and is the first person of the trinity. He has, and will eternally exist.
About Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. He is both fully God and fully man who has eternally existed. He left His place in Heaven and came to Earth to reveal God's desire to have a relationship with us. This relationship could only be established by Jesus dying on a cross, and rising from the dead in order to offer forgiveness for our sin and eternal life through His resurrection.
About The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. The Holy Spirit is God! He is not a representation of God but fully divine. The Holy Spirit is the person of God that fully indwells the follower of Christ. This indwelling occurs completely at the moment an individual accepts and believes the truth of Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. The presence of the Holy Spirit secures and guarantees eternal salvation in a believer's life. The Holy Spirit is the one who teachers, reveals, and reminds the believer of all truth.
About Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort.
About Salvation
We believe the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, and His resurrection from the dead provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when people place their faith in Jesus Christ alone as sufficient payment for their sin.
About the Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the work of Christ on the cross. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by worshipping Him and by making Him known to the world.
About Baptism and Lord's Supper
Baptism and Lord's supper are ordinances of the church that give testimony to the salvation of an individual. Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water as a testimony of faith and obedience that he has accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. Baptism is not a step to salvation but evidence of salvation. Baptism or the water itself has no power to lead an individual to salvation.
The Lord's supper is an act of obedience and remembrance for what Jesus Christ did when He gave His life in order to bring salvation. The bread represents His broken body while the juice represents the blood He shed for salvation. The Lord's supper has no power or role in the salvation of an individual.
